Why MOQ Exists
Museums of Quinte exists to serve the Quinte region and to bring the world to it. We believe that great museums are not reserved for great cities — that curiosity, wonder, and discovery belong to every community, every family, and every generation. MOQ is proof of that belief.
Seven distinct institutions share one address at QED Campus. Each has its own identity, its own collection, its own personality. Together, they form something that no single museum could — a campus where a single day can take you from the Pleistocene to the edge of orbit, from a centuries-old painting to a live science demonstration.
Our vision: a region where every person, regardless of background, finds their story told, their questions welcomed, and their curiosity celebrated — in a world-class institution they can call their own.

Land Acknowledgement
Museums of Quinte acknowledges that QED Campus is located on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, and Huron-Wendat peoples, and the Métis Nation. We acknowledge the enduring presence and contributions of Indigenous peoples to this land and are committed to meaningful reconciliation in all aspects of our institutional practice.
